A NEW GPU from Nvidia is now available in preparation for
the next-generation of PC gaming, and to reinforce the inferiority complex of
console gamers everywhere.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 780
improves on its predecessor by more than half, boasting 2,300 cores and 3GB of
GDDR5 memory.
Completely compatible with
existing Nvidia technology, the GTX 780 will be able to tackle even the most
high-performance titles including Watch Dogs and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
"The GeForce GTX 780 delivers
the fastest frame-rate and smoothest animation at a value never before seen in
PC gaming," said Scott Herkelman, general manager of Nvidia's GeForce
division. "This level of performance allows gamers to become fully
immersed into a game the way the developers originally intended."
Other gamer-focused design
features include the addition of the Nvidia GPU Boost technology which increases
clock speeds and enhances performance, as well as customization

These include temperature target and fan-control options,
features that allow for an almost-silent gaming experience.
Although NZ pricing is currently unknown, the GTX 780 is
available now for a cool US$649.
