Gamers and comic book fans everywhere are perspiring gently at the news that a Kickstarter campaign could see them decked out like the Dark Knight before Christmas next year
AS REAL AS IT GETS (ARAIG) is a "new immersive wearable technology", which essentially means it’s a sweet-looking suit that vibrates, provides surround sound, and simulates muscle contractions to feel as though the wearer is being pulled or that something is crawling on their skin.
The Kickstarter website explains that the device "is designed to enhance your video game experience by increasing of what is happening within the video game you are playing without limiting your mobility or use of other peripherals".
Although it's not the most original idea of all time (we've all seen Tron) the ARAIG suit promises to be universally compatible with PCs and consoles, plus if you help Kickstart the project you can pick a custom
design for your suit so you can look like Batman even if you're a poxy little geek.
If there is a demand for such a product will be determined by the number of
people willing to fund the suit - particularly as the project needs US$900,000 worth of funding before production can begin.
